Update from Superintendent Morse, January 7, 2021 ParentSquare message
.....
Our elementary schools will return to campus next week on Wednesday, January 13. Hybrid students will be on campus only Wednesday and Thursday. The week of January 18 we will follow our conference prep schedule, and hybrid students will again only be on campus on Wednesday and Thursday. The following week of January 25th, we will return to our full hybrid schedule with each cohort being on campus two days per week, with a total of four in-person learning days. You can view the elementary schedule for January here or aquí.
Our goal is that we will maintain the regular hybrid schedule through the rest of the school year. However, there is a possibility that we could have to quarantine a class or pod following Ventura County Public Health guidelines. Families might wish to have a contingency plan in case a class needs to return to distance learning.
For our secondary programs, we are planning to return to campus in small cohorts for the second semester. The schedules that our Return to Campus teams have been working on allow for one pod on campus each day. We will have more details on the proposed schedule (after the January 13th Board Meeting) Read full message, here
Dear Families,
As we prepared for our elementary students to return to campus we held town hall meetings to help answer any questions you may have. During the meetings, we covered the daily schedule, information about full distance learning and homeschool options including how to sign up, and safety protocols we will have in place when we return to campus. Please see Town Hall presentations, here and recorded video, below.
During reopening and throughout, to ensure we maintain the health of students, staff and our community, we've launched a COVID compliance hotline. If parents, students or staff have concerns about campus compliance to social distancing, masks or other health-related issues, please call (805)265-4257 or email covidconcerns@ojaiusd.org.
Our campus sanitizing procedures can be found here.
For a list of COVID-testing sites, please visit the Ventura County Public Health page here
We look forward to welcoming our students back on campus, and appreciate your support as we travel this road together.

For A/B schedules, our first priority is to put siblings on the same schedule at all sites. Next, we will attempt to accommodate requests to change to a different day.
For Summit Elementary students, parents and students will receive individualized information directly from the site.
