This course studies how humans affect and are in turn affected by their environment. It provides a foundation of earth science and ways in which the earth adapts to a diversity of life forms. This course provides a foundation in scientific methodologies and laboratory skills/procedures. topics. It will be delivered using traditional and project-based formats with an emphasis on hands-on learning and regular off-campus experiences working with local organizations relevant to sustainability. Students will identify problems within the natural world, analyze data sets, and develop ideas for preventing, reducing, or solving the identified problems. It is the introductory course for the career-tech pathway in Environment/Energy/Resources.
