AP Students: It is now time to order and pay for AP ExamsThe deadline to make a final decision and submit payment is Monday, November 1st for ALL AP exams. If you are taking an AP Exam on campus you must use the code your AP teacher gave you to first register for the AP classroom in CollegeBoard. If you are taking an AP class through Edgenuity and have not yet received your AP exam code, please email Ms. Escobar for the code.


The cost for each AP exam is $96, or a reduced fee of $53 for qualifying students. CollegeBoard charges a late fee of $40 per exam for any exams ordered after the November deadline. They also charge a $40 cancellation or unused exam fee. Students can pay for exams in cash or by check made payable to Nordhoff High School at Ms. Escobar's desk in the office at snack or lunch. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Escobar, or stop by her desk.


Juniors and Seniors:  2nd quarter off-campus lunch passes will be issued starting next Thursday at snack and lunch. You must have a current 21-22 school year photo ID and meet eligibility requirements to get your new pass. If you do not have a current school photo ID, please come to the main office and ask for Ronda Lambos to get your new ID card.  Thank you.


 Now that Quarter Grades have come out it is a great time to start taking advantage of our Peer Tutoring every Academic Seminar periods on Thurs and Fridays. Remember that After School Tutoring is also available. See the flier on the library door for details. Get some Tutoring and Get Successful!

Scholarship Alert! On Tuesday 10/19 and Thursday 10/21 @ lunchtime, Ms. Beebe will be holding workshops for the Elks Lodge Scholarship. This scholarship is for US citizens who will be pursuing a degree at a 4-year college or university. Recipients are selected based upon: Leadership, Academic achievements and records, Community involvement and Financial need and awards range from $4,000 - $50,000. NHS has had multiple recipients in recent years! Please bring your laptop to the CCC to work on this application together.


Holy Cross School Harvest Festival is looking for volunteers for Friday, October 22nd from 6pm-9pm. They need 12-20 volunteers to run their kids' carnival. All volunteers will be fed a pizza dinner. Masks are mandatory and each volunteer will undergo a wellness and temperature check, prior to the event. Please call 805-646-8121 to sign up!


 The Green Valley Project You can volunteer for the Re-Oak Ojai Tree Planting Day on Saturday, October 23rd, and November 13th – 9am to 12pm – The Green Valley Project is teaming up with Ojai trees to teach you how to properly plant native oak trees in our community. Click here to sign up.

A local artist has a couple of job openings and is looking for part-time help painting artisan home goods and in packing and receiving shipmentsStarting rate is $14/hr. Student needs to be fully vaccinated, willing to submit to a background check and will need a work permit. Upcoming Athletics:

Boys Soccer Pre-season practice Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30-6 on the back field.  All interested players not in a Nordhoff fall sport who are athletically cleared are invited to come out!

Boys Basketball tryouts will be 6:00-7:30 on Wednesday 10/20, Friday 10/22 & Monday 10/25. If you are currently in a Fall sport, please contact Coach Hannah for another date and time. You must be cleared on athletic clearance in order to tryout. Please see Amy in the office if you have any questions regarding Athletic Clearance. Senior Pictures Yearbook Only: 

Tuesday October 19th from 10:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the I-wing

The above sessions are for seniors who have not taken their senior picture for the yearbook only. Lifetouch will be contacting these seniors via email with more information and to set up appointments. If you have any questions regarding the upcoming senior yearbook only pictures, please contact the local Lifetouch office at

NPA Fundraising
It's time to start your holiday shopping! The Nordhoff Parent Association is selling See's Candy and Holiday Wreaths to make your season bright! 

Holiday wreath orders  are due by Friday, November 5th and can be ordered from our NPA website click here
 Pick up will be the week of November 29th with specific times to be announced as the date gets closer.

See's Candy orders from our NPA website are due by Friday, November 19thand will be ready for pickup the week of November 29th.  There is also an option to go to the Yum-Raising website and order See's candy to be shipped directly to the recipient anywhere in the U.S.  (Direct ship orders are due by Friday, December 3rd)
