It is time to enroll new MM students for next year!  If you know someone who has expressed an interest, please encourage them to enroll ASAP! Priority enrollment is the following: Mira Monte boundary students are first.  Ojai Unified non-Mira Monte boundaries are second. Students who live outside of the Ojai Unified School District have third priority. Non-Mira Monte and non-OUSD enrollment packets are date stamped when they are returned. Getting them turned into the school early could make a difference for acceptance. We accept those returned the earliest before those packets that are turned in later.

Kindergarten Students: Must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2019.

Transitional Kindergarten Students: Must turn five between September 2, 2019 & December 2, 2019.  To enroll your child, you must bring a complete enrollment packet to the school site.

If you have a child already attending MM and want us to send an enrollment packet home for a child not currently attending our school or entering TK or K, please let us know by email at ndiaz@ojaiusd.org or send a note to school with your child.  We will provide parents who are unfamiliar with our TK/K program a tour on Friday, February 15 between 9:00 and 10:30 AM. Please spread the word! If you live outside of the Mira Monte boundaries your chances of being accepted are better if you complete your registration forms early.

Our leadership students are reporting that there are parents with little ones who don’t stop to sign their children in with them when they arrive tardy.  In order to make this easier on them, we are asking that all parents who arrive during the time the leadership students are writing down tardies stop and sign their children in. Nicole knows which students are kindergarten students who are heading to Kids Club and not class. She will remove those names when she enters the tardies into the system. TK and Kindergarten English language learners are late if they arrive after the 8:15 bell. Thanks for your help!

During the month of February, we will be focusing additional attention on teaching tolerance and learning more about diversity. As part of our focus, we would like to provide some educational displays.  We’d love to have help from our parents. If you think you have something to offer as an educational display (cultural holiday, cultural tradition, etc.) please contact the office ASAP. Let’s be creative together and help educate our students!

It looks like we have enough drivers for the Museum of Tolerance!  Thank you, parents! Drivers should check with Amanda regarding missing or outdated driver forms. Please don’t forget to save the date, April 9, for the field trip!

Students who have been vomiting or running a fever must be free of both for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to school.

We have approximately 200 “Sweet Bee” Valentine grams remaining!  Get your orders in before we run out!

They are SO cute!  Don’t forget to add the room number the sweet bee will be going to!
