Dear Ojai Unified School District Community, The Board of Ojai Unified School District is considering building housing for its employees on its downtown District Office property. This Workforce Housing Webpage linked below has been developed to keep the community informed throughout the process. On this site, you can access all Board agenda items and editorials pertaining to the District’s vacant properties and consideration of Workforce Housing. As well, there is a questionnaire form where community members can ask questions. Once questions are posed, staff will post the questions and answers in the section labeled as such. On July 11, 2024, there will be a Special Board Meeting on the topic of Workforce Housing at 5:30 PM in the District Office Boardroom at 414 E. Good morning, We want to remind everyone that we have our school tours today and tomorrow! Hope to see you there.

Dear Ojai Unified Staff and Families, As you are all aware, there is a significant rainstorm hitting California Saturday through Tuesday. District staff are monitoring the storm closely and as of today it appears that the heaviest rain will be between noon on Sunday through about 9PM. There is continued rain expected Monday, however, the models are predicting lighter rain on Monday. We have staff assigned to monitor schools on Sunday to prevent flooding and damage. We will also monitor updates about road closures through the VC Alert System. If there are no major road closures Monday morning, we have staff ready to drive the roads starting at 5AM to evaluate the conditions. If there is damage, unsafe conditions or significant road closures that would necessitate closing schools, we will send a ParentSquare message out to families by 6:30AM on Monday morning.
