Dear Families,

Elementary Return to Campus
As we prepare for our elementary students to return to campus we would like to invite you to attend live town hall meetings to provide you with information and answer any questions you may have. During the meetings, we will cover the daily schedule, information about full distance learning and homeschool options including how to sign up, and safety protocols we will have in place when we return to campus.

We have the following times scheduled:

  • Tuesday, October 20 5:00 - 6:00 or 6:15 - 7:00
  • Wednesday, October 21 4:00 - 5:00 or 5:30 - 6:30 (en Espanol) 

Please register in advance using this link. If these times fill up we will add more sessions. Additionally, we will provide a recorded video after the sessions are completed for those who aren't able to attend.

Matilija and  Nordhoff Student Support Meetings
We will also be hosting meetings for Nordhoff and Matilija families to provide Information on supporting students' academic needs as we near the end of the 1st quarter. Please look for more information coming from the site Principals next week.

  • Nordhoff's meeting will be held Monday, Oct 19 from 6:00 -7:00 pm. Register in advance here.
  • Matilija's meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct 27th from 5:30-6:30 pm. Register in advance here

Continued Support Services for Students and Families 

The USDA announced that we will be able to continue with our free meal program through the end of the school year. The meal program is available to all youth in our community, 18 years and younger. Local families may pick up grab-and-go meals at any of our school sites except Matilija from 11 a.m .to 1 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday that OUSD schools are in session (on-campus or online). For families in upper Ojai that are interested in meal delivery, please contact Robin Monson at

Parent Support Groups
Weekly Parent Support groups facilitated by a Marriage and Family Associate/Trainee or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist are available each week, or as needed,  to help our parents talk through challenges related to social or emotional wellness and school success. Mental Health Services for Students
If you or your student are experiencing anxiety during this time, we want our OUSD families to know you are not alone in this. To ensure you have the mental health resources you need, we've developed a tool for online mental health services, allowing students to schedule a time to connect with one of our counselors via Zoom. We are providing this tool free for families. Click here for more information.

Tech Tent Fridays
Visit our Tech Team at “Tech Tent Friday” for in-person, individual help with software or devices. You can also pick up tech gear such as hotspots or headphones. To learn more, click here for Englishaqui en Español. For technical support through email or phone, please submit this Help Form.

Family Fund
We are committed to helping Ojai Unified families connect to the resources you need. If you have a need, please fill out the attached ParentSquare form to let us know what would be of benefit to your child. We will do our best to connect you with resources. These resources are available through the support of our generous donors and partners, and all support is dependent on funding. You can fill out this form anytime throughout the year.

For the first time since 2016, The Housing Authority has opened for applications to low-income housing. For more information on Housing Authority, please click here for more information, or to find online applications in both English and Spanish. The deadline for applications is November 16th.
