Nicole, Amanda, and Marisol are so thankful for all the gestures of appreciation they received from our students, parents, and staff this week. They love the flowers, plants, cards, and spa gift certificates!   We are so fortunate to have these amazing people supporting all of us!

Our new California Book Fair begins next week! We are pretty excited to see what this new company has to offer. Thank you for coordinating this event for us, Katie Walker!

Katie will need help. Please watch for posts on our school FB page!

Morning drop-off reminder: Parents are not to use the bus lane to drop their students off in the morning.  Please follow the drop-off procedure by pulling through the drop-off lanes.

The only exception to this rule is for those who have a child on crutches.  We are not aware of any students who currently meet that criteria.

Attention parents of 5th grade ukulele players and 5th and 6th grade choir students! You are invited to see your children perform at two concerts.  The first concert is Tuesday, May 28 at 6:30pm in the Matilija auditorium. The second concert is Thursday, May 30 at 1:30pm in the Mira Monte auditorium.  Parents are encouraged to attend either concert. Students are expected to participate in both concerts.

We are still in need of parent volunteers to supervise the crossing of intersections along highway 33 between the Barbara Street tract and Mira Monte School for the Bike Train event that will take place May 13-17.  Please let us know if you are available.

Exciting news! A shade structure is currently planned to be installed this summer over our kindergarten yard! Plans are also  being made for resurfacing all of our blacktop areas, repairing a few more roofs, and replacing air conditioning units!

Reminder:

State testing dates:  3rd and 4th (English language arts and math) - May 13-21,   5th (science) - May 23 & 24

5th and 6th (English language arts and Math) - May 28 - Jun 4

Please do not plan trips or appointments on these dates. Students do not perform as well on these assessments if we have to schedule them on a separate date. Thanks

If your child is missing a sweatshirt, jacket, or lunch box, please come check our lost and found!
