Shhhhh!  Notes were sent home about a special day for three special support people. Please watch for it!

Kids Club reminder: If you are paying drop-in fees and not monthly, past fees must be paid before additional drop-in days.

We are trying a new company this year for our book fair. Come check it out Apr. 29 - May 3! Information is being sent home in Friday folders. Note: In addition to the lunch recess and after school hours, our book fair will be open during our May 3rd Food Truck Friday event.

As the year begins to wind down, we would like to remind parents of students in grades 3-6 that we encourage parents to provide Chromebooks for their students to use at school. We have one cart of 35 devices for each of these grades that is shared. Here is the Chromebook currently recommended by our technology department for our classrooms:

Our current recommended Chromebook is the Dell 5190. The 5190 comes standard with a ruggedized chassis, usb type C chargers, and keys that are supposed to be virtually impossible for the children to pry off! Optional extras include a Gorilla Glass reinforced screen, storage and ram upgrades, a touchscreen, convertible tablet mode, and a world facing camera so it can be used to make videos or take pictures.

This model sells for approximately $300 on Amazon. Of course, a less expensive model would be fine. If you purchase something other than the one recommended, please make sure it has the same amount of memory, etc. as the Dell 5190.

Macs are not compatible with our network. Chromebooks only, please.

Reminder: All users of personal devices must have a signed technology agreement on file at the school. Personal devices will not be allowed on our network without this agreement.

State testing dates:  3rd and 4th (English language arts and math) - May 13-21,   5th (science) - May 23 & 24

5th and 6th (English language arts and Math) - May 28 - Jun 4

Please do not plan trips or appointments on these dates. Students do not perform as well on these assessments if we have to schedule them on a separate date. Thanks!

Parent volunteers are needed to supervise the crossing of intersections along highway 33 between the Barbara Street tract and Mira Monte School for the Bike Train event that will take place May 13-17.  Please let us know if you are available.

The free “NO I WON’T AND YOU CAN’T MAKE ME!” Effectively Dealing with Power Struggles has been rescheduled to April 23 at 6:00pm. Childcare and Spanish translation will be available.
