All 6th graders who will be attending MJH in the fall will need the Tdap booster by the end of the school year. Parents need to provide verification to Mrs. McMillan in the office so that students can receive their class schedules from Matilija.

Students will have a chance to showcase their talent at our annual “San Antonio Talent Show!” Encourage your child to participate in this once a year event that is always memorable. Look for more information coming home with your child.
Please continue to send in your bottles and cans for San Antonio to recycle. We have made over $250 which we will use to purchase new dodgeballs and volleyballs. Thank you!
NOW ENROLLING NEW STUDENTS for the 2018-2019 School Year
We are currently enrolling new students at San Antonio. If you have a TK or kindergarten aged child or know of someone looking to enroll, please see Mrs. McMillan in the office. If you are currently enrolled, no need to fill out new paperwork - you are automatically re-enrolled for the next year.
Hawk’s Nest Hours and Late Fees:
Just as a reminder Hawk’s Nest is a pay forward program. All students need to be registered and paid for through the office. Our Hawk’s Nest hours are from 2:30-5:30pm. Out of respect for the staff, parents must be at the MPR by 5:30. Our staff has families to go home to at the end of the day. We understand that sometimes emergencies occur, however a $1.00 per minute late fee will billed to parents who are late picking their child up. Staff will be using the clock on the MPR phone to verify the time of pick up. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
School safety is a top priority for our campus. Please help us to keep our students and campus safe through the following:
● Always check into the office before entering campus
○ This includes all parent volunteers and weekly helpers
○ This allows the office to know who is on campus at all times
● Use the designated parking spaces or park on Carne Rd or Grand Ave.
○ Please do not pull in through the exit - marked as Bus and Staff entrance only
○ Please do not park in the staff/bus parking lot, unless you are using the handicapped parking spot
● Drive slowly and cautiously through the parking lot at all times
Thank you for contributing to our campus safety.
PARKING LOT & TRAFFIC
- Please do not park in the drop off lanes. This congests the traffic flow and parents can not exit the parking lot.
Parents and Visitors
Parents need to check into the office before entering campus. In an effort to keep classroom interruptions to a minimum, please drop off lunches, instruments, etc, in the office and it will be delivered to your child. If you are volunteering, please sign in using the visitor book.
Jackets, Sweatshirts and Water Bottles
Please be sure to write your child’s name on their jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes etc. This helps us to return lost items when they are found on campus.
Attendance - Regular attendance is essential for a student's maximum achievement.
Your child's attendance is very important to us. Teachers truly appreciate students who are on time and ready to learn. The school day begins smoothly and efficiently for both teachers and the rest of the class when all students are ready to receive instruction on time.
If your child is absent, please call the office and leave a message at (805) 640-4373 or email Mrs. McMillan at firstname.lastname@example.org on the morning of the absence. By law, all absences must be accounted for and recorded.
Please continue to clip and send in BOX TOPS each week. In addition to Box Tops, we are collecting loose change at our assemblies. Keep those Box Tops and pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters coming in each Friday.
