Attendance - Regular attendance is essential for a student's maximum achievement.

Your child's attendance is very important to us.  Teachers truly appreciate students who are on time and ready to learn.  The school day begins smoothly and efficiently for both teachers and the rest of the class when all students are ready to receive instruction on time.

Parents need to make every effort possible to have students at their classroom door when the first bell rings at 7:55 a.m.; classes officially begin at 8:00 a.m. each day.  Students who enter campus after the tardy bell are required to check in at the school office to sign the tardy log and get a tardy slip for entry to their classroom.  By law, our attendance records have to be accurate as they are the basis of our funding.  A student who is marked absent but is actually in attendance due to tardiness must have their attendance record changed for us to be in compliance with these laws.  In addition, we need this information for safety reasons.  The office needs to know who is actually on campus at any given time.

If your child is absent, please call the office or leave a message at (805) 640-4373 on the morning of the absence.  By law, all absences must be accounted for and recordedParents can now also report an absence by clicking on the "Report an Absence" button on the San Antonio website home screen.

Welcome to San Antonio Elementary School.  We are a small, quaint school located amongst the orange groves of Ojai’s East End.  San Antonio is the perfect choice for families looking for a small, family-like environment that values high academic standards and an enriching educational experience.  Our teachers, staff, and parents work collaboratively to create a school experience that focuses on the principles of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) to prepare our students to be 21st Century learners.  Through a positive learning environment, we believe that all students can learn and achieve success.

San Antonio prides itself on long-standing traditions while embracing technology and hands-on learning opportunities.  We believe in developing a strong sense of community and school culture through weekly assemblies, big buddy programs, community service projects and positive citizenship throughout our campus.

Please call the school office at (805) 640-4373 to schedule a visit to our campus.

Letter from the Board and administration addressing the safety of our students and, in particular, undocumented immigrant families.

Click to review the letters in both English and Spanish that were mailed on Friday, April 21, 2017 to secondary students' homes and placed in elementary students' backpacks.  The text was written in response to statements made about undocumented immigrants during the presidential campaign and soon after the election. About half of the school districts in the County have adopted such positions speaking directly to this issue.
